G. Tatschl Oil Painting of Man Shearing Sheep
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a man shearing sheep, by an artist signing the work ‘G. Tatschl.’ This painting uses a palette heavy in green and blue to depict a white-haired figure cutting the fleece from a suffolk sheep while his horses and dogs watch from nearby. The whole scene takes place under the wide branches of a leafy tree, and includes the signature and date of 1962 to its lower right corner. This piece is mounted in a beveled wooden frame with a wire for hanging to its verso.

- fair; edge wear to frame; minor paint loss; slight crazing to paint; dusty throughout.
