Limited Issue Royal Worcester "Independence 1776" Plates

A set of seven limited issue Royal Worcester ‘Independence 1776’ plates. Each of the plates depicts a cobalt blue eagle, on a blue branch emerging from blue earth, with gilt accents. Red flowers with green leaves, against the white ground, fill the spaces around the bird and branch. A description on the back of the plate states that it is a reproduction of the ‘Independence 1776’ pattern issued by Royal Worcester when the eagle became the national emblem. Plates are numbered 4433, 4407, 2036, 4450, 6037, 4405, and 2035; 10,000 issued. Each presented inside a fitted box.
