Antique English Historical Transfer Printed Earthenware including Clews
Item Details
A nine piece collection of antique historical English transfer printed earthenware circa 1815-30 together with romantic views. Included in this group is The Landing of Lafayette by Clews and an oval platter marked to the underside ‘Passaic Falls State of New Jersey’ by Wood with a shell border. Other pieces included are a variety of plates and platters with historical, floral and fruit motifs. Marks found are Rogers, British Views, and Riley’s Semi China.
Condition
- cracks, crazing, discoloration; surface marks and wear throughout; tape residue and stains.
