A sterling silver flatware set for ten by Wallace Silversmiths of Wallingford, CT (established 1871). This is in the Charlotte Schwartz Hallet designed Aegean Weave pattern, first introduced in 1970, which features a die-pressed woven band across the shoulder and at the handle tips. This eighty-three piece set includes ten dinner forks, ten salad forks, ten place spoons, eleven teaspoons, eight iced tea spoons, three table spoons, two pierced table spoons, three meat forks, a gravy ladle, a pierced bonbon spoon, two lemon forks, and a sugar spoon. The forks and spoons are stamped on the reverse ‘Wallace W Sterling’ in a long cartouche. Also included are ten dinner knives, ten butter spreaders, and a master butter knife, all marked ‘Wallace Sterling Handle Stainless Blade’. The total approximate weight, excluding the dinner knives, butter spreaders, and butter knife with stainless steel blades, is 98.335 ozt.
