Senufo African Wood Carved Statue

Item Details

A vintage Senufo tribe African hand-carved human figure sculpture. The figure is sculpted from an unknown type of wood, and depicts a standing woman, wearing a headdress. The figure’s midriff has carved grid designs, and there are carved bracelets on the upper arms, which are bent at the elbows. The waist is encircled by some type of belt, and the figure stands on carved bare feet. A handwritten label on the back is marked ‘10 SONUFO Ivory Coast’.
