Item Details

An antique volume II of The Letters of Junius. From a two book set this is volume II printed for the book sellers in England, 1799. Junius was the pseudonym of a British political pamphleteer and letter writer of the late 18th century, believed to be Sir Philip Francis (1740-1818). In addition to their political significance, the letters of Junius were also appreciated for their wit and rhetorical style. This edition was compiled by John Wade and published by Henry Bohn of London. It is bound in a marbled hardcover on laid paper.
