An Empire style armchair with signed figural footstool. This pair is upholstered in red needlepoint fabric. The mahogany chair has a scrolled crest rail with upturned shoulders, with arms sloping forward over scrolled supports. The seat front is curved, beside curved, fanned, channeled legs ending in casters. The footstool stands on ornate ceramic legs featuring four feet resembling frogs with wings and crowns. One foot is artist signed. A floral needlepoint accent pillow is included.
