A textile collage on board by listed artist Don Werner (American, 1929 – 2010). The work depicts stylized figures with brightly colored fabrics on a burlap background. To the verso, the work is signed in ink. Presented in a built-in wooden frame.

Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
