A Madonna collection. This collection includes figurines, plaques, and wall decor. Featured is an white Madonna and child planter, a white porcelain statute of Madonna with praying hands and halo, a kneeling Madonna with infant incised ‘McDonald’ and ‘1917’, and an original Goldscheider fine china crowned figurine holding a orb stamped to the underside and mold number ‘340 5’. Also included is a vintage Madonna and child figurine that was produced during WWII by Ars Sacra, a New York firm. The firm produced a small collection of figurines in the Hummel style made of a chalk-like or paris plaster substance. Since Goebel could not carry on production at this time, these figurines did not copy Hummel, but were very much like Hummels. This figurine is marked to the side ‘B. Hummel /Ars Sacra/1942 Herbert Dubler Inc.’. Additional Madonna figurines are featured including a wall plaque signed ‘Tischler’ to the verso.
