A hand-knotted Indo-Oushak area rug. This wool rug, likely made in India, is rendered in a palette of gold, olive, brown, and camel. It features a Turkish Oushak-style design beginning with a stylized herati field incorporating large-scale palmettes, diamond motifs, flowers, leaves, and vines under a gold and olive wash. Framing the field is a wide, stylized herati main border featuring the same color treatment. Edges are finished on all sides. The rug is unlabeled.
