Antique Chinese Apothecary Chest

A Chinese apothecary chest. This dark stained elm piece has a simple case on a slightly rounded apron, which continues to the curved legs, joined front to back by a stretcher. It has eight rows of hand cut dovetail jointed drawers, alternating in width, each with painted leaf accents and a center ring pull on a circular plate, which bears characters.
