1940s Persian Story Bracelet and Four Sanskrit Medallion Pendants
Item Details
A vintage Persian story bracelet and four Sanskrit medallions similar to Tibetan gau amulets. The enameled panel bracelet is a type of sweetheart bracelet purchased from the tourist bazaars of 1940s Persia (now Iran) by American soldiers returning home to loved ones. A pair of the medallions are two-sided, having filigree detail, with Sanskrit lettering and coral and turquoise accents. The other two are domed to front, enhanced with turquoise, imitation turquoise and garnet cabochons. These two bear a stamped pictograph to reverse side.
