A nine piece assortment of 1950s, 1960s and 1970s velvet evening dresses. The four cocktail length dresses include a white satin empire waist dress with a black lace overlay on the bodice, black velvet straps, and a matching black velvet crop jacket with a white collar and lining. The other three short dresses include green satin with velvet trim, red velvet with a red striped ivory tone skirt, and black velvet with a multi-colored floral skirt. The three long gowns include a long sleeve blue velvet gown with white lace trim, a sleeveless green velvet gown with white satin trim, and a black velvet gown with a gold tone sequined bodice and straps. This selection also includes a hair comb with a draping blue velvet bow and blue tulle veil.
Condition
- use and age wear throughout; blue velvet with white lace trim has trim discoloration, soiling on neckband, partially detached zipper; white satin with black lace and black velvet straps has fraying at ties (has boning), loose hem stitching; black velvet crop jacket with discoloration to white collar and lining; black velvet dress with sequined bodice has moderate to heavy sequin loss.
