W.D. Smith Silver Co. "Chippendale" Silver Plate Candlesticks
Item Details
A pair of silver plate candlesticks by W.D. Smith Silver Co. (1913, Chicago, IL). These pieces feature the Chippendale pattern with an oval eight-sided form with a tapered body. One is has an engraved shield with an ‘A’ to the center flanked by scrolls and bell-shaped flower garlands. The other candlestick is engraved with flower flanked by scrolls and bell-shaped flower garlands. The underside of each is marked ‘Chippendale EPNS WD SS Co. Pat. 1914’.
Condition
- light surface wear including tarnish and surface nicks; one engraved with an “A”.
