A collection of five classic works of American literature, published by the Franklin Library between 1977 and 1983. These special edition books are bound in full leather with raised bands, gilt page edges and gilt cover decoration. The titles in this collection are The Sound and the Fury and Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner, All the King’s Men by Robert Penn Warren, The Complete Stories of Flannery O’Connor, and Twenty Years at Hull-House by Jane Addams. All but Twenty Years at Hull-House are part of the 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature series and include the accompanying booklets of editors’ notes.
