A collection of three maritime classics published by the Franklin Library. This collection includes Samuel Eliot Morison’s Admiral of the Ocean Sea: A Life of Christopher Columbus and Richard Henry Dana’s Two Years Before the Mast, both published by the Franklin Library as part of the 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature collection in the 1970s, and William Bligh’s account of The Mutiny on Board H.M.S. Bounty 1789, published in 1983 by the Pageminster Press of Guildford, Surrey, England in association with the Franklin Library. Mutiny on the Bounty is bound in one quarter leather over cloth; the other two volumes are bound in full leather and include editors’ notes booklets. All three feature raised bands and gilt cover decoration.
