A lithographic reproduction after the original engraving titled For the Safety of the Public by British artist Edmund Caldwell (1852 – 1930). The image depicts a pitiful, sad puppy wearing an oversized muzzle. The black and white print is housed in a carved ornamental wooden frame with hanging wire to the back.
