Large Vintage Wooden Desk with Upholstered Office Chair
Item Details
A large, vintage solid wood desk and an upholstered vintage office chair. The mid-century desk features a rectangular top with straight square sides. There is a center knee hole opening, with a single, shallow dovetailed drawer just above, and three deeper dovetailed drawers to the right side, which are fitted with wood pulls. Some of the drawers are fitted with wooden dividers. There is also a pull-out shelf to the upper right above the drawers. To the left is a cabinet with faux drawers on the front. The cabinet houses a typewriter shelf on a spring mechanism that allows the shelf and typewriter to be raised up to working level (typewriter not included). A smaller shelf is below the typewriter shelf. The desk rests on straight square legs with brass caps on the feet and is not marked. The desk comes with a vintage office chair, which has recently been reupholstered in a tapestry fabric with book motifs. The chair rests on a column with four horizontal legs and casters. The column has a cast iron mechanism that allows it to be adjusted.
