Vintage Louis XV Style Parquetry Commode Stand with Marble Top

Item Details

A vintage Louis XV style parquetry commode stand with a marble top. The walnut-veneered, oval case features a rouge et gris marble top with molded edges above a stack of two drawers. The drawers have parquetry fronts with bands of lightwood, diamond inlay as well as gilt metal, ring pulls and escutcheons. The stiles are fitted with gilt metal mounts near the tops and they continue to cabriole legs ending in sabots.
