Mid-Late 19th Century Burled Walnut With Marble Top Commode
Item Details
An antique burled walnut commode with marble top, circa mid-late 1800s. It has four drawers with hand cut dovetail joints stacked to the front, one conforming to the apron, and the other three set between curved front stiles and set with elaborate flower basket motif brass plates and rings, as well as a center escutcheon. The apron and front are set with burl veneer. It is raised on shaped feet. The finished back has framed vertical panels.

- damage present to burled walnut veneer at the furniture’s right corners of top two drawers; at the lower center of top drawer and at the base below third drawer
- trim pieces missing on furniture’s right and left just below marble top
- drawers have been lined and back has been finished
