Victorian Upholstered Settee

Item Details

An antique Victorian upholstered settee. The walnut settee features a pierced and carved top rail with a pierced center splat to the back, and padded and upholstered sections to either side. The settee is upholstered in a dark coral colored brocade fabric, featuring padded and rolled arms with turned wood on the fronts. The upholstered seat features ruched sides with piping. The settee has a carved and pierced flower petal motif to the center of the bottom rail, and it rests on straight turned legs with white porcelain casters. A handwritten upholsterer’s note on the underside is marked ‘JoLeone Designs 12-13-09’, indicating the year the settee was re-upholstered. The settee frame is not marked. This item matches item 17DEN108-046.
