Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut Side Chairs

Item Details

A pair of antique Victorian Renaissance Revival walnut side chairs, circa third quarter of the 19th century. The chairs feature foliate-carved, banister crests above button-tufted backs, downswept hip supports, and padded seats. The back and seats are upholstered in pink, damask fabric. The chairs are further embellished with raised panels to the crest, stiles, and front seat rail, the latter of which has a shaped pendant. They rise on turned, front legs and raking back legs, both of which end in brass casters.
