Vintage Chippendale Style Ribbon-Back Dining Chairs

Item Details

A group of six vintage Chippendale style ribbon-back dining chairs. The group includes two armchairs and four side chairs. Each mahogany frame features a pierced, serpentine crest with scrolled ears above three conforming splats. The overupholstered seats are covered in red and cream fabric with brass tone tacks along the edges. The chairs rise on square legs joined by box stretchers.

Condition

- good condition overall with some scratches to frames and light wear to upholstery; upholstery possibly later; one of the chairs is in fair to poor condition with a complete fracture where the crest meets the stile.
