A handwoven Persian Hamadan wool area rug. This rug features a bright crimson field with a central medallion surrounded by sprays of flowers and flowering tree motifs with a main herati border in ivory with guard borders in carnation meander, and running water patterns. This beautiful rug shows coloring in cobalt, amber, rose, sage green, and black, and finished with overcast selvedge edges and a short natural warp ivory firinge. Tag to the underside reads, ‘Made in Iran, Handwoven Carpet and Rugs’.
