A collection of seven Greek classics published in the 1970s and 1980s as part of the Franklin Library’s 100 Greatest Books of All Time series. These special edition books are bound in full leather with raised bands, gilt page edges and gilt cover decoration; this collection also includes the editor’s notes booklet for each book. The books in this collection are Five Comedies of Aristophanes, the Iliad and the Odyssey of Homer, the Aeneid of Virgil, the Tragedies of Sophocles, Petronius’s Satyricon and Aeschylus’s Oresteia.
