An antique quarter sawn oak secretary. This piece is constructed from quarter sawn oak, and it features a cast metal lamp attached at its top. Below is a slant front with brass mounts which lowers to reveal drawers and storage compartments. when lowered, the slant front rests over brushing slides which flank the top row or two hand dovetailed drawers with brass drop ring pulls. Under those are two larger drawers, and this desk stands on square-cut legs.
