A collection of five books from the Franklin Library’s 100 Greatest Books of All Time series, published by the Franklin Library of Franklin Center, Pennsylvania in the 1970s and 1980s. These special edition books are bound in full leather with raised bands, gilt page edges and gilt cover decoration; this collection also includes the editor’s notes booklet for each book. The books in this collection are Thucydides’ History of the Peloponnesian War, Plays of Euripides, Plutrarch’s Twelve Illustrious Lives, Plato’s The Republic, Aristotle’s Politics and the Analects of Confucius.
