An engraving after Robinet. by Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792). This image depicts a young girl in period dress leaning against an empty bird cage. A small bird is perched on her shoulder and trees are visible in the distance. The print is marked, L. Stocks R.A. Sculpt, to the lower right, and Sir J Reynolds P.R.A. Pinx, to the lower left, and titled to the lower margin. Matted in white and presented behind glass. Framed in wood covered in a silver tone metal foil. The frame is in need of repair. To the verso, wired to hang.
Condition
- frame is separating in two corners. Metal foil covering on frame is scratched and gouged in several places.
