A hand-knotted Anatolian wool carpet runner. This rug features a predominantly blue background, with an all over octagonal medallion and squared symbolic pattern, surrounded by a star pattern in peach-pink, ivory and taupe. It has two small floret guard borders in browns and the field colors, and a wide unresolved primary border of diamond formed medallions separated by serrated arrow elements. It has a wide, woven red and blue kilim skirt to either end, with long, soft natural undyed wool warp fringe to the ends and double overcast edges. It is unlabeled.
