A lithograph on paper titled Moise et Son Peuple (Moses and His People), after influential European modernist artist Marc Chagall (1887 – 1985). This expressive print is the frontispiece of Chagall’s book of the same name, and depicts Moses in the foreground trailed by a crowd of figures forming an organic round shape in the background, with an angel flying in the upper right corner. Blue spot color in Moses’ robes and the figures adds visual interest. This print is presented unsigned under a white mat, in a gold tone frame with floriate details in low relief. Hanging wire is affixed to the verso, and a certificate of authenticity from Park West is included.
