An oil painting on canvas by T. Simonson after a painting by Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825) titled The Loves of Paris and Helen. The painting depicts Helen of Troy and Paris from Homer’s Iliad in an interior scene. The original painting is currently at the Louvre Museum and was painted in 1788. Signed by the artist on the lower right corner. The piece is set in an ornate gilt wood frame.
