A hand-knotted Persian Zanjan area rug. The rug features a central medallion in taupe, cream, dark blue, and black on a pink field. The field is populated by a herati pattern and is enclosed by a compound border. The border features a pattern of florals and meander lines in a complementary palette with a dark blue background. It has an overcast edge and short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
