Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Tekke Bokhara Carpet Runner
Item Details
A semi-antique Tekke Bokhara carpet runner. This wool rug, attributed to Pakistani weavers, is hand-knotted in a palette of crimson, mauve, tangerine, ivory, and black. It begins with two vertical rows of Tekke guls, interspersed with kochak guls, over a mauve field. The field is framed by six wraparound borders, including soldier patterns and diamond borders. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
