A handwoven Portuguese Arraiolos area rug. This wool rug features a geometric lattice pattern incorporating diamonds and X shapes in a palette of celadon, midnight blue, periwinkle, powder blue, pale yellow, rose, and pink. The field is framed by a periwinkle-colored border featuring concentric diamonds outlined in midnight blue, flanked by minor borders in midnight blue. Edges are bound on all sides, with strips of burlap sewn onto the underside. The rug is labeled on the reverse.
