Hand-Knotted Persian Kerman Room Sized Rug

A Persian Kerman wool rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of cream, ice blue, pink, and caramel. It begins with an elongated floral medallion in ice blue tones over an open cream field. In classic Kerman style, the borders are broken, one blending into another amid an elaborate riot of tiny flowers, palmettes, and foliage. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with knotted fine wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
