Vintage Victorian Style Mahogany Secretary

Item Details

A vintage Victorian style mahogany secretary. This rectangular top piece with drop down slanted front panel opens to a writing surface and petite storage compartments and drawers. A full width drawer is located under the drop down panel and features decorative carved detail and brass bail handles. The secretary rises on carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaf detail to the knees and terminating on claw and ball front feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.

- left hinge on fold down table is broken; some green felt has been applied to either side of the fold out surface; various significant marks and scratches present throughout; key not included; some scratches and wear to veneer and edges.
