An offset lithograph after The Club House Turn by Louisiana artist Jack Cooley (1923 – 2008). This print depicts a group of race horses and jockeys rounding a corner of a racetrack. Painted gesturally and loosely with evident brush strokes which create a sense of movement and energy. Signed and dated (’74) in plate and signed by hand to the lower right. Double matted in pale violet and navy and presented behind glass. Framed in a brown stained wood frame. To the verso, auction tag with information on the print and artist dated 1974. Wired to hang.
