Item Details
A collection of wood and ceramic bears. Included are a wood carving with a fighting bears motif in the style of a netsuke (根付) sculpture. To the underside is a channel for string and inscribed kanji on the leg. Also included is a small wood carved bear on a stand with painted eyes and a ceramic bear head in brown and white with his mouth open wide. Bear on stand and ceramic bear head unmarked.
Condition
- ceramic bear has chip to left ear and wear throughout; residue and dust present to all items.
