A Chinese silk embroidered textile titled A Grand Prospect is Put Into Effect (大展鴻圖). This piece depicts two birds of prey, most likely eagles, one perched on a rock protruding from the sea and the other flying in to land, fish, or perhaps catch the scarlet sun that is rising over the waves. The sea is colored with a watercolor paint under the embroidered surf. The title characters and a red seal are present to the the upper left corner. The piece is presented behind glass in a wood frame with D-rings to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- several minor scratches to frame; dust and smudges to glass.
