A signed limited edition offset lithograph on paper after an original painting by well-listed and renowned American wildlife illustrator and naturalist John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, born 1924), titled Cedar Waxwings – Bombycilla cedrorum. The print was published in 1978 as Plate 1 of the artist’s Winter series. It depicts two of the stunning birds perched on a thin sprig of holly. Faux plate marks have been embossed to the piece’s margins. The print’s title is printed to the lower center margin and its publishing information is printed to the lower right corner. The print is signed and numbered 618/950 in graphite to the lower corners. It is double-matted in forest green and taupe and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brown and green finishes and a hanging wire.
