Michael Garman Western Series Cast Metal Sculpture

A signed and dated sculpture by Michael Garman (American, b. 1938). Part of the artist’s Western Series, this cast metal sculpture depicts a cowboy wearing a hat, neck kerchief, chaps, and cowboy boots. He supports the barrel of his long gun. A pistol is holstered at his waist. It is incised with the artist’s signature and dated 1965 to the rear base. This sculpture is made of cast metal with a black painted finish.

Michael Garman has dedicated five decades to creating series of sculptures that honor America’s heroes. Each of his sculptures is handmade on site at the artist’s Colorado Springs studio.
