Item Details
An oil painting by artist Sebastian Collowitz of a ballroom scene. This painting depicts a large group of fifteen figures in formal dress in an elegant interior with a large chandelier overhead. Several of the figures are holding what looks like sheet music or theater programs and others are huddle in small conversation groups. One of the figures is seated at a piano. The overall coloring of the piece is evocative of evening candle light in hues of gold, bronze and sepia. Signed to the lower right. Framed in a carved gold tone frame with a white patina. To the verso, wired to hang.

- there are two slight creases visible in the canvas to the upper right.
