Tufted Indian "Paradise Collection" Area Rug

A hand-tufted Paradise Collection area rug by Mahdavi’s A & A Rug Co. This Indian-made rug features an Agra-style design with large-scale palmettes, leaves, flowers, and vines arranged in a classic herati pattern over a crimson field. Framing the field are compoind borders, including a wide primary border grounded in cream, featuring a herati pattern. The palette is crimson, cream, celadon, dusty pink, and an array of pastels. Edges are bound on all sides. The rug has a full fabric backing and is labeled on the reverse.

Condition

- to fair; there is a small rip in the surface of the rug and a long tear on the fabric backing; the rug could benefit from professional cleaning.
