Item Details
An original minimalist ink drawing on paper by a Japanese artist named Hisayuki Uyeda, titled Nara Temple. The painting depicts sweeping strokes of semi-opaque black ink crossing the ivory paper in dramatic forms. The piece is signed ‘H. Uyeda’ in graphite to the right center margin, and a red artist’s seal is stamped to the right of this signature. The piece is matted in wood and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a bamboo face and a hanging wire. The artist’s name and piece’s title are written in ink to the piece’s verso.
Condition
- to fair. Piece is quite yellowed and has a few small marks of foxing beginning to appear.
