A lithographic poster from the Soviet era ‘Коммунизм – это молодость мира, и его возводить молодым ’Communism is the youth of the world, and it should be built by the young’ by Yurii Mokhor, c.1969. This poster depicts a group of four young adults with a blue sky and a crane in the background. This poster was printed with a combination of hand pulled lithography and offset lithography. The poster shows signs of being used to create a copy, possibly a mural. There are graphite grid lines as well as tracing lines on the figures and background elements. There are spots of what looks to be oil paint on the poster. There is copyright information in the lower margin in Cyrillic and the date 1970. To the verso, there are sketches of buildings as well as multiple equations. The poster has a hole in the center, multiple tears in the edges, and creases from being folded many times. Unframed.
