Antique Blue Featheredge Pearlware Platter and Tableware Including Wedgwood
Item Details
A selection of blue earthenware including two dinner plates and three serving platters. Featured is an antique pearlware platter with a molded blue edge circa 1820-30. It is accompanied by a vintage Rouen transferware dinner plate with a scroll and medallion design by Wedgwood and a Laurier serving platter by Adderley with an ovoid form and scrolled foliate accents. The largest platter with subtle scalloped edges and rope trim has an illegible impressed maker’s mark to the underside while the other two pieces are not marked. The floral decorated piece with an underglaze design on the underside is of Japanese origin.
Condition
the largest serving platter with the thick blue trim has significant chips, some stains, and has repaired cracks; the other pieces are in Good condition and show marks and scuffs to undersides.
