A late 19th-century hand-colored engraving on paper by Whymper after a painting by P. Skelton. The genre piece, titled Houses Under the Castle, Warwick, depicts a scene of daily life along an English village street lined with Tudor-style buildings. The work is signed in plate to the lower left. It is double-matted in cream and gold tone and presented under glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
