Hand-Colored Photogravure after George Wright's "Full Cry through the Homestead"

A 1909 photogravure on paper with areas of printed coloring and areas of watercolor hand-coloring after an original oil painting by well-listed English equestrian genre painter George Wright (1860 – 1942), titled Full Cry through the Homestead. The print depicts several English huntsmen on horseback ridding through a fenced field. The horses and the hunter’s dogs leap over rickety fences towards their unseen prize. The artist’s name is printed to the lower left margin, and the piece’s title is printed to the lower center. The piece is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brown and gold tone finishes and a hanging wire.
