Hand-Knotted Anatolian Prayer Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Anatolian prayer rug, attributed to the Bergama weavers. The wool pile features a red lozenge ‘window’ with gul motif, surrounded by multiple borders in ivory, pale yellow and lavender, having various floret motifs in red, brown, rose and lavender colors. Mid 20th century; it is unlabeled.
