Antique Victorian Eastlake Platform Rocker

Item Details

An antique Victorian Eastlake platform rocker, circa late 19th century. This walnut piece has pierced leaf and geometric carvings at the crest, with burl inlay. The carvings extend down the geometric ears, and occur again on the armrest stiles, apron, and sides. The front stiles and apron are reeded. The back, seat, and armrests are padded and upholstered in a cream fabric with floral design. The scalloped trestle base is raised on wheels.
